This overpass over the current A-11 highway is located to the south of Zamora, and it carries access and exit ramps of this highway. These ramps cross the A-11 at a very skewed angle, and the alignment of the piers and abutments follow this skew. The platform is made of two 4,0 m lanes, 0,50 m hard shoulders, and two 1,50 m sidewalks, so the total width is 12,0 m.
The bridge is a prestressed concrete voided slab, with constant depth, equal to 1,30 m, and a 12,0 m wide top section. The shape of the section is a “gondola”, and it has 8 polygonal voids. The prestressed system is made of 21 tendons, with 15 Ø0.6″ cables.
The piers are “V-shaped” and made of reinforced concrete. Rectangular spread footings are used for the piers foundations. Two guided sliding bearings are set on each pier support strut. They are anchored to the pier and to the bearing fixings located under the slab.
The abutments are conventional concrete walls and the deck is supported at the abutments with two neoprene bearings.
