The “Morrot” section of the Urban Littoral B-10 Motorway in Barcelona (“Ronda Litoral B-10”) is located near the Montjuic Mountain. The main lanes go form the existing viaduct at the end of the so called “Cinturón Litoral” to the start of the next section of the urban motorway called “Colón”. The length of the section is 640 m.

In addition to the main lanes, a very complex urban multilevel intersection was designed to connect the highway to the urban streets of the city and the access to harbour of Barcelona.

This section, included in the actions undertaken for “Barcelona Olímpica”, goes between walls and passes over/under structures. The main structures designed were the following:

Underpass nº 1: It is a two-celled box section with a structural scheme known as “pergola”. The cross section is made of reinforced concrete, it is 15,8 m wide (7,0 m each box) and has 4,8 m of vertical clearance.

Artificial tunnel nº 2: This is a reinforced concrete box section structure: The horizontal clearance is 7,0 m and the vertical clearance is 4,8 m. The lateral beams are strong due to the large skew angle of the structure.

Nine walls of different heights mainly made with soil retention systems.
