The pedestrian bridge is a prestressed concrete deck of 173 m total length. The structural scheme is a “spannband” (tensional band); there are 6 spans, being the length of each span 15,0+4×35,0+18,0 m supported by 2 prestressed tendons ( 28Ø0.6″;ultimate load equal to 757 tons), anchored to the abutments. The deck is 0.25 m deep and 3,25 m wide.

The deck is made of 0,25×3,25 m precast slabs that are directly placed on to the prestressed tendons. There are 11 slabs on the central spans and 5 to 6 slabs on the lateral spans.

The concrete piers are poured on site. They are “V shape” piers with four arms, and connected at their base using a plastic hinge 5 cm thick. The top of the pier is a 6 m long curved slab.

Each abutment is a 3,25×3,50 m rectangular concrete block where the tendons of the deck and the anchors of the foundation are connected.
