The AG-11 Motorway, also called the Barbanza Motorway is a regional motorway located in Galicia, connecting the towns of Padrón and Santa Eugenia de Riveira. The design runs parallel to the existing high-speed road VR-G1-1, which has been duplicated in order to have a complete motorway.

The complicated orography of the Galician terrain was the defining factor in the new design of 11 viaducts, 31 overpasses, 51 underpasses and 1 cut and cover structure.

TORROJA INGENIERÍA designed the 11 viaducts included in the Construction Design of the section. They are:

Sar Viaduct

Manselle Viaduct

Imo Viaduct

Té Viaduct

Ría de Arousa Viaduct

Cespón Viaduct

Coroño Viaduct

Lampón Viaduct

Mina Viaduct

Lérez Viaduct

Salgueiros Viaduct

The total deck length of all the viaducts put together is more than 2 km. The decks were usually made using precast prestressed concrete beams in a double T shape. This was because the existing bridges of the VR-G1-1 were made using this typology. The Viaduct over the Ria of Arousa was the only one made using U shape precast beams.
